Overview

This customized course covers the iNEWS client in detail, with emphasis on establishing the appropriate workflow for your Avid Newsroom solution. This course covers the use of the iNEWS system, database cycle, and will address an overview of procedures, operation and policy resulting in the use and design of your iNEWS environment.

Audience

This course is targeted at:

  • Key newsroom Operation Managers, Executive Producers, and control room staff who will lead other staff in adapting to the new environment
  • Representatives from the IT department, who will assist in the implementation of the more technical aspects of the database design process

Prerequisites

  • Experience operating the iNEWS client is preferable
  • A full understanding of newsroom and any other production processes, including the control room during on-air transmission
  • Experience as a user of the Windows operating system
