Overview

In this 2-day course, you will learn the essential skills for building Deko Graphics as templates to be updated with data from the newsroom Producers.

  • Deko Operators and Newsroom Production Staff for DekoSelect
  • Thunder Operators
  • Newsroom Production Staff for ThunderSelect
  • Technical Directors for ThunderSelect

Prerequisites

  • Windows competency and a basic understanding of video technology are recommended
  • Knowledge of layer-based applications, such as Photoshop, and/or timeline-based applications, such as NLE or AfterEffects, is ideal
  • On-air or production experience is ideal

Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Build Deko Graphics as templates
  • Create motions using the Timeline Motion Option
  • Use ClipDeko to play .mov animations with graphics
  • Manage newsroom graphics
  • Perform end-to-end tests for successful templates
  • Select a template from the library and update with current news information
  • Preview the revised graphic
  • Save the graphic in a story in the rundown
