Maximum flexibility in broadcast automation

Providing dependability, consistent workflow and seamless integration, Avid FastBreak Automation Solutions allow you to meet the challenges of increased channel counts and a decreasing workforce. It’s the way to keep the drama on the screens, not behind the scenes for thousands of channels worldwide.

Key Benefits

Fully scalable, FastBreak® 8000 can help you achieve control of very high channel count systems with its ability to manage virtually unlimited numbers of playlists. Its architecture supports multiple variations of channel count and system design, from a single channel to over one hundred channels on the same platform.

Easily accommodated workflows and certification of new broadcast peripherals are key benefits of Avid FastBreak Automation Solutions.

Media Management

Supporting a variety of ingest methods including dubbing, real-time recording and file-based ingest, FastBreak 8000 intelligently moves media and metadata between storage devices such as video servers and archive systems. FastBreak 8000 ensures that media is available for playback and moves content directly to a broadcast facility’s play-to-air server with a single click.

Maximizing uptime, Avid provides a variety of system redundancy options in addition to standard mirrored hard drives and hot swappable power supplies. For further enhancement, fault-tolerant SQL Data Server and ListSync™ with auto-failover capability can be added.

The Central Casting Solution

Helping you achieve greater efficiency by managing playout for multiple locations, Avid FastBreak  has pioneered deployment of central casting solutions. To accommodate a variety of hub and spoke workflows, from heavily centralized scenarios to broader localized control, FastBreak 8000 provides maximum flexibility and scalability.

Since secondary events are now a key aspect of broadcasting, Avid’s FlexEvent enables you to respond with anything from a simple GPI logo insertion trigger to a complex sequence of actions involving multiple broadcast devices. The FlexEvent status can be displayed directly in the UI for easy monitoring. Playout is frame accurate. An unlimited number of FlexEvents can be assigned as clip properties, through traffic instructions or to a user control. Billable events are reported in the as-run data.

Dedicated Support

Avid FastBreak Automation Solutions are backed by world-class support personnel who not only fully understand your facility’s workflow, but are always available to provide the troubleshooting, installation and training you need to succeed.
