ICON D-Control Surround Panner Option

Gain powerful and convenient surround sound panning control right from the center section of your DControl ES console. Whether you mix music or post-production sound, the D-Control Surround Panner provides an ergonomic method for moving sound throughout the surround field. Plus, its custom assignment capabilities enable you to use the touchscreen or joysticks to manipulate plug-in parameters in creative new ways.

Customizable for your creativity

Simply mount the D-Control Surround Panner into the preconfigured bay within your D-Control ES console’s center section, and you’re ready to go. With its centralized location, you can now place sounds accurately and fine-tune them without leaving the monitoring sweet spot.

Crucial control in the sweet spot

If you work in post, sound design, or music mixing, the D-Control Surround Panner gives you some creative flexibility, letting you customize non-pan-related control assignments. Enter Custom Assign mode to place any parameter in the Focused channel on the X or Y axis. For example, you could assign the gain and frequency of an EQ to the panner’s X and Y axes to achieve dramatic filter sweeps with a simple fingertip or joystick move.

Tight integration with Pro Tools

The D-Control Surround Panner integrates directly with Pro Tools HD software to deliver robust automated panning. You can also use AutoGlide to pan sounds automatically from one position to the next to move sound over time. Write pan automation by simply pressing new locations in the Surround Panner window in real time; the sound moves to the new location during playback based on your AutoGlide Time settings. And use Glide Automation in Pro Tools to create precise offline automation.

ICON D-Control Fader Module Option

Extend the hands-on control features of D-Control ES by adding one or more D-Control ES Fader Modules to your console (up to a total 80 faders). Gain 16 additional channel strips and faders with each module, which features the same ergonomic design as the D-Control ES, for extended Pro Tools HD control and minimized paging. Plus, its abundance of LCD displays, LED rings, and bar-graph meters deliver critical visual feedback.

Channel strips

All 16 channel strips on the D-Control ES Fader Module have identical channel controls, including six touch-sensitive, multipurpose rotary encoders—each with a multicolor LED ring; sixcharacter alphanumeric, multicolor LCD display; and tricolor automation indication LED. Each channel strip also features multiple push-buttons, display and mode controls, and a touchsensitive, motorized fader.

Meter section

The 32-segment tricolor meters can display track levels, plug-in meters, and other parameters, depending on your D-Control ES metering preferences.

Modifier keys

Each D-Control ES Fader Module features four switches in the lower-left corner that duplicate the functions of the Pro Tools computer keyboard modifiers.

Easy installation

Adding a D-Control ES Fader Module to your D-Control ES console is easy — no complicated hardware configuration is required. The expansion kit includes extension arms to expand the D-Control worksurface to accommodate the installation.

ICON D-Control Script Tray

The D-Control Script Tray rolls easily across the D-Control worksurface on soft wheels, allowing you to keep scripts, notes, or a remote control close at hand. The sturdy metal frame and clear acrylic top provide the convenience and utility of a moveable flat surface right where you need it most. The Script Tray is an important addition for post production, ADR, and other recording, editing, and mixing projects. Dimensions are 15" W x 21.9" L x 1.5" H (31.8 cm x 55.626 cm x 3.81 cm).
