Interplay Delivery

Overview

Interplay Delivery is a new media service that links workgroups and enables multi-site workflows by smartly handling transfers of media, sequences and shot lists between Interplay workgroups. Users of Interplay Access can trigger full transfers, in which all of a selected media file is transferred, or partial transfers, in which only the selected portions of the media are transferred. The system is smart enough to send just the resolution requested, and then supports re-link in the editors at the other end of the pipeline.

Special Delivery
Interplay Delivery enables users to move just the files required, in just the way the receiving workgroup needs it. Select entire sequences, or portions of sequences; select the desired delivery resolution – and other settings – in a stored profile; choose sequences, subclips, or even shot lists created in Access and send them from the desktop.

WAN Ready
A key part of Interplay WAN proxy workflow, Interplay Delivery simplifies and enables efficient Interplay WAN proxy-editing workflows with a one-command transfer of all related media segments. Bonus: it doesn’t require the local sender to be on a high speed connection – a user can be on an Access client over the WAN and send to partner site.

Industrial Strength
Easily accommodate high traffic, high velocity, and multi-site workflows by deploying multiple Delivery systems and receivers. Interplay Delivery allows you to create and select unique job profiles that automatically route media transfers to specific Delivery receivers. You can even use job profiles to invoke third party media transport service providers when the highest transfer speeds are needed. 

Distributed Media Service
Like Interplay Transcode, Interplay Move, Interplay Stream Publish, and Interplay Copy, Delivery leverages the resource-efficient and rule-based Distributed Media Services (DMS) job brokering technology. Media Services reduce editing suite time and costs by swiftly and intelligently handling non-creative tasks in the background.
