Overview
Students will explore the architecture, administration, and maintenance of an Avid ISIS 5000 system along with the administration of Avid Interplay and Avid AirSpeed. Lab work gives students practical experience in applying basic troubleshooting and administrative techniques.

- Front-line maintenance personnel
- Engineers
- Facility or freelance technicians responsible for large Avid Unity/Interplay workgroup environments in a broadcast facility
Prerequisites
Basic experience of Microsoft Windows systems, networking, and Avid workgroup topologies
Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe system components
- Use the ISIS System Director Control Panel and the ISIS Management Console
- Administer user accounts, storage groups, and workspaces
- Configure attached servers and clients
- Troubleshoot Avid ISIS 5000
- Perform Interplay administration and maintenance including protection and deletion strategies
- Administer Avid NewsCutter and Media Composer
- Tune Client settings
- Understand project strategies
- Apply workflow best practices
