The Avid Certified Support Representative: Interplay | MAM certification is designed for individuals whose role requires them to install, configure and troubleshot an Avid Interplay | MAM system. It is essential to have the skills and competencies to be able to correctly install and configure the Interplay | MAM system and be prepared to operationally support the system. The ACSR Interplay | MAM certification is designed to test and validate those skills.
To be able to sit the certification exam candidates must attend the ACSR Interplay | MAM System Support (MAM470) course.
The certification for Interplay | MAM is a practical hands on exam that requires candidates to install an Interplay | MAM system on two servers and configure it against a pre-installed MediaCentral server, Vantage transcoding system and SGL FlashNet. Candidates follow installation steps detailed in the ACSR Interplay | MAM System Support (MAM470) course, including creating users and groups, the shares and directories and mount points on the MCS. Then they install packages and configure the system for Vantage, FlashNet and Central | UX.
After the installation candidates will perform a system test to verify the installation was successfully completed before conducting a file import of a Hires file via a watch folder. The workflow should create an object in Interplay | MAM, archive the Hires file automatic in SGL FlashNet and perform a Video analysis to create a browse proxy. This proxy can then be played back in the Interplay | MAM Desktop and in Central | UX.

- Access to the ACSR technical community for peer to peer communication
- A certification logo to add to marketing materials, websites, business cards to differentiate yourself and your organization
