Caught Up and Ready to Teach Pro Tools 110 at Future Rhythm

I’m sorry for the radio silence, but I just caught up from AES and got through all of the email and replies posted on the blog. I’ve been bursting at the seams just waiting for the time when I could speak openly about Pro Tools 8, and it’s finally here! I joined Digidesign two years ago this weekend (my first day was literally at the AES Convention in 2006). A Trick for Stretching Vocals by Kurt Howell

I’m often asked how to achieve a better vocal sound when doing a remix or dance remix that requires a major tempo change. In this example, the first track (Vocal 109) contains the vocal as originally recorded. I then created a new track (Vocal 139) to copy the original vocal to. Using Serato Pitch’n Time I stretched the tempo of the copied region from 109 BPM to 130 BPM.
