Overview

The Interplay | MAM System Administration (MAM215) course is intended to give attendees a broad overview of the core administrative and monitoring tools available in Interplay | MAM. It is also recommended as an introduction to Interplay | MAM for first level support staff, as well as a prerequisite for those continuing onto the MAM470 ACSR Interplay | MAM System Support course. It provides an overview of Interplay | MAM’s web based user clients and focuses on the administration and configuration tools.

Audience

This course is designed for System Administrators and first level technical support staff.

Prerequisites 

Working knowledge of handling the Windows GUI, administration and managing Windows services.

Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to: 

  • Understand the general structure, technology and interactions within an Interplay | MAM system
  • Use the correct terminology for Interplay | MAM subjects
  • Determine the current state of the Interplay | MAM system 
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting operations
  • Gather the information required by Avid Customer Care to perform error investigation
  • Check the system’s configuration (including the configuration of processes and workflows)
  • Investigate log files
  • Investigate errors shown in MediaCentral | UX or in Interplay | MAM Desktop
