WG213 Avid Interplay System Administration

Overview

The Avid Interplay System Administration (WG213) course is designed for individuals responsible for the setup and day-to-day operation of components in an Avid Interplay workgroup environment. Students learn how to administer the Avid Interplay Engine and how to maintain a database in the system. Additional topics include database customization, backups, deletion strategies, daily and weekly maintenance and Media Indexer. Connecting editor workstations to the Interplay system is also covered.

This course prepares candidates for the Avid Certified System Administrator: Interplay | Production certification exam. It is also a pre-requisite (or equivalent experience) for the ACSR Interplay System Support (WG433) course and the Avid Certified Support Representative: Interplay | Production certification exam.

  • Facility or freelance technicians responsible for the setup and day-to-day operation of components in an Avid Interplay workgroup environment
  • ACSR: Interplay | Production candidates

Prerequisites

Basic experience with Microsoft Windows systems
