I installed another hard drive in my system , today,and created a dual-boot installation of WinXP Pro. I installed Avid only, on this second boot drive. The Avid now sees my Echo-Mona sound card and the AudioSuite loads correctly. I'm guessing, but, apparently one of the other applications I use corrupts the sound card sufficiently to keep the DAE...

Also, are you importing the spannned clips from the P2 card, or have these files first been transferred to FireStore? The latter seems to mess up spanned clips.

This is a very old version of the Avid and a brand new camera. Any chance you could update the Avid? My guess is these are spanned clips, are they 2 gig in size? If so, this is the issue.

Do you have any idea what camera they were shot with? I'm going to guess P2. Take a look at this: http://www.avid.com/p2/ If not, maybe its XDCAM: http://www.avid.com/xdcam/
