    Corrupt media repair option

First of all thank you Andrew for bringing this up again.. it was tucked away on the old forum somewhere. Secondly i'm not sure who posted this in the first place but it seems The Batch Digitizer takes the credit here. If i'm at fault do let me know.

    Here's the "trick"

"As I understand it the + signs etc are only added if it cannot repair the media.

To identify the corrupt media from within AVID.

Make a bin with all your sequences in it.

    Open the console. (CTRL +I)

type "repairsequences" (without the quotes) and watch the console window. It will attempt to fix corrupt media etc but if it fails it will ident the media at fault.

Find this media and delete it and then re-digitize the clips."

(this trick will be added to the Everything you need to know sticky)

    Re: Corrupt media repair option

I always thought "repairsequences" was used to run newer sequences on an older version Avid, to strip the sequence of any offending instructions.
