The upgrade to Media Composer 3 is $395 for the Media Composer software only or $495 for Media Composer and the third party applications. The third party applications are well worth the upgrade. I'm not sure what could be the issue with the P2 card. How did you erase it? You should use the camera or P2 device, not the operating system.

It's been my experience that sluggishness, unresponsive behavior and lost connectivity issues are equally present in the PC world. I believe it has little to do with PC vs Mac and everything to do with network construction, configuration and bandwidth issues. Unfortunately we have found this out the hard way and are in the process of constructing...

It's mostly a cost issue as far as the upgrade goes. I would love to upgrade to a newer version of Xpress or to Media Composer, but things are kind of tight at the moment. Are there any newer versions of Xpress that are free or inexpensive to download? Do you have any advice on how to copy the files back to P2? I basically just copied the whole...

I'm sorry, but Free DV, which is now an "end of life" product, was never qualified to run on Vista in any flavor.

ok, I had no problem setting up dual screens. Even got full screen playback working fine. Here's my question. Whenever I open a project, my timeline and bins and all other windows are on the left monitor and I have to rearrange them over the two screens. Would be nice to set them up over the two screens and have them there when I re-open a project...
