Music Audio Filter: INT Restaurant feel

    Hello,

does anyone have any suggestions for using and/or modifying an EQ filter to make a piece of music from a CD, sound like it is playing in a Restaurant. Avid doesn't give many options, and I can't seem to get it right. The best that I got was using the Telephone A filter and then bringing up the High end a little.

If anyone has a template or know of a resource for this type of thing, it would be greatly appreciated!

unfortunatly, you're stuck with tweaking... each room will have a different ambiance, and with it, a differentr set of parameters.

i'd say rolling off the low end,  and cranking the high and mid-high range with a little bit of reverb might get you what you're looking for.

if I get you right, you want to have that muffled background ambience.

Well what do you loose in a restaurant? Sharp highs and deep lows. So, reduce those and bring up the mids.
In such places, the music always has no brilliance, and is on low volume. Be careful with reverberation, because your voices probably should have the same reverb then.
