How to get helped ... fast...

In general most people that visit here have a problem that they want to get solved. As Avid in general does not offer phone support over an software package that can run on virtually any configuration is clear. So people come here and want to get helped.

So to be able to help people need to know the specifics of a problem. Simply stating "my pc stops capturing" will not get you any answers very soon.

    Recipy:

    • Post a clear subject on a question. I need help is a bit vague
    • When you have a serious problem always include system specifications, version Avid, version Windows or OSX, used deck or transcoder.
    • Try to "bump" a thread instead of creating a new one. Bumping threads is a common technique to get attention again to a question. By bumping (aka replying to your own post with "bump" ) a question will be once more on top of the forum list for some time thus drawing attention.
    • In your own interest post a question if you cannot find an answer and try to search a bit in the forum while you wait for someone in the world to take up your question. Who knows you might even find it
    • If you get your problem solved outside the help of someone at the forum it would be nice to report that in the original thread so others may benefit as well from your findings.

***So far the forum is a voluntary place, people come here to help and get helped. Return the favor if you go helped. Avid does look at the forum every single day but they do not get involved very often.***

    Keep in nice and clean.
