hi, i have a mov file maked whit avid free dv, i have nero vision express 6, but when i try to create my dvd, i put my mov file into nero and nero make error.. the file is not compliant...(or similar)...

i use nero more time, whitout error.. but not whit mov file... (divx, xvid, avi, mpeg2....)

i search a prg to convert mov file to mpg2 or avi.. but nothing work.... or is shareware...

there are a solution freeware?

Hi,

Nerovision Express should be able to convert the mov file.  If you can tell us more about the settings you used when exporting from FreeDV, we might be able to figure out why it is not working.

A Google search for freeware mov to mpeg2 suggests there may be many freeware programs that will convert mov to MPEG2.

the setting are default for quick time.. nothing is modified from the default.. but in this moment i cannot read it... tommorrow if i have help i comunicate you.

for convert.. yes.. more and more "download freeware"... but all are shareware or demo...

 

i have test quick time pro (i have buy a license.. but i not remember to have it.... :( ;) ) but the computer it now convert the file to avi...

tomorrow i have a result.. and i try to make dvd whit nero and file avi....

but is not possible to ovverride the limit of 2gb for avi file? whit ntfs i dont know nothing (avid only) can have this limit.... pinnacle, premiere, nero... windows movie maker... or other software for editing video... (donate whit hardware... nothing to paragonate to avid.. ;) )

 

I've got Nero too, and it doesn't like .movs. There's a freeware utility called "super" that encodes most formats. I've used that to make dvds from free dv quicktimes (you need to play with the free dv export settings- I've successfully exported using the (pal for me) DV options, and the avid codec. "Super" can be a little buggy- but it does make reasonable dvd files (mpeg2 or direct to vob).

i have found super, but i dont found the link for download... in the page, are more link.. but where is write download.. dosent work.. or connect to other page, whit more text and link.. but not download file..

hi, i have this problem...

i export my video in qt format. but whit option? i set 320x xxx and dv-pal (compress format).. but the quality on my pc is best.. on dvd is low quality... i use nero for make dvd from qt file...

in this moment i try to export to qt file, whit 768x5xx (i don't remember) and dv-pal other set to default...

my nero epress 6. dosen't make dvd from mov file (in the first case qt file 320x xxx )

everyone have a suggestion... possible freeware.. thanks
