Some of the features of the Avid LeaderPlus Election Management System include:

• Easy input of wire races into the database prior to an election. Avid LeaderPlus will automatically pull the appropriate wire codes directly out of a capture containing sample wire data. Wire codes no longer need to be entered manually.
• Data organization of both individual races and lists of races. Using a race list, Avid LeaderPlus will automatically call up selected races in a predefined order for easy monitoring, updating, and displaying on air.
• Race reports for printing race summaries - to easily verify data and provide hard copy records.
• Automatic updating of election results from a Web page or FTP site. (Available in April 2004)
• Instant updates of race results entered at any LeaderPlus workstation (secured with individual user access).
• Producer Screen that clearly displays race status information and results through customized lists of races.
• Support for simultaneous airing of races from multiple character generators, allowing multiple studios to produce election coverage.
• Talent Screen displays race results and information about the candidates or issues being voted on. Talent Screen is synchronized with the CG display.
• Individual user authentication provides increased security.
• Available system training ensures newsroom personnel are prepared for election night demands.
