Avid Interplay Engine

Avid Interplay Transfer

The Avid Interplay Transfer option manages processor-intensive media transfers to an Avid Unity-based solution, Avid editing system, or supported video server. Broadcasters and post-production facilities can exchange high-resolution media with other workgroups, remote locations, and supported third-party systems.

Key Features:

Let Interplay do the heavy lifting
Media can be transferred at rates up to 60 MB/s when configured for optimal performance within a workgroup. Background transfers offload processor-intensive transfers from busy editing systems.

Save space with intelligent file handling
Avid Interplay Transfer intelligently decomposes a sequence, identifies all referenced master clips, and transfers only the referenced media files, preventing redundant material from filling up storage.

Keep distractions to a minimum
Avid Interplay Transfer destinations are visible from the editing interface, so an editor doesn't need to leave a project to transfer a sequence. Transfers take place in the background, so editing work can continue.

Integrate third-party media and machines
Avid workgroup application programming interfaces (APIs) provide translation of proprietary or non-Avid file formats during transfer, enabling facilities to add new production devices or file formats and still share media seamlessly in a collaborative production environment.

Minimize delays with Frame Chase editing
Avid Interplay Transfer supports Frame Chase editing when capturing MXF material from supported ingest devices. Editors can begin editing as quickly as 10 seconds after recording starts.

Edit straight from camera with tapeless I/O
Avid Interplay Transfer moves material captured in supported tapeless formats directly to an Avid Unity workgroup or to connected editing systems.
