Speed up review and approvals—just added
With new improvements and advancements made to RenderEngine, creating and sending previews of the content for which you seek editorial approval has never been easier. You can now send scene content directly to RenderEngine’s internal VideoEngine—locally or remotely—to render a clip or sequence of images displaying the scene content. This eliminates the added steps of having to externally capture content or use Maestro or 3DPlay to render files.
Gain more creative flexibility—just added
With the new advanced Geometry modifiers, you can now customize base objects right in Maestro | Designer (formerly 4Designer), enabling you to create new elements and designs without the need for third-party modeling tools. Designs never before possible in Maestro | Designer or 3Designer.
Build beautiful bar charts easily—just added
Forget having to design a graph from scratch when you need to share a range of data to viewers. You can now accelerate the process of creating and customizing high-quality bar charts using a wide range of premade elements. And because all of these elements are editable, you can quickly update charts as data or needs change.
Get tons of improvements—just added
With a wide range of user-requested features, improvements, and fixes added, you can now work faster and easier than ever. Build special functionality into your scenes with extended Photoshop import support. Visualize heat map data as 2D textures natively in Maestro | Designer—no plug-in required. And use Maestro | Designer on the latest Windows 10 computers.
Create informative line charts easily
With the new line charts feature, you can generate line and area charts quickly and easily from new built-in assets. You can also customize any chart to match the look of your graphics to achieve a more sophisticated and cohesive design.
Create unique objects
Maestro | Designer now offers new geometry modifiers, enabling you to create completely new objects from Maestro | Designer primitives, as well as from objects imported from third-party applications. And because objects can be modified in real time without pre-rendering, you can design at the sheer speed of your imagination.
Bring 3D maps into your production
With support for 3D (terrain) maps from WorldMapper, you can add visual interest and location context to your news and weather reports. Work with real maps that combine rich, high-resolution satellite imagery with detailed terrain data to create flyovers, map interactivity, and more.
Add realism to your graphics
Bring new levels of realism to your creations and give all of your scene elements a smoother look without increasing the geometric detail. With new per-pixel lighting, you can illuminate scenes with better shade depth, light direction, and color diffusion, giving compositions a more authentic look and feel.
Handle exports and splines with ease
With the enhanced control interface for handling exports, you can now create and test arrays of data easily from a single editor. And with the new cross-section editor, which supports cutouts from splines, not only can you build complex cross-sections from scratch, you can also import SVG files containing these elements.
Expand your Trigger capabilities
Extend the functionality of Triggers with new trigger scripts that can be run inside scenes without issuing commands from the controllers. Using the new scripting language, you can simply drag and drop any scene property into the script and then control it using the scripting tool.
