Avid Xpress Pro version 5.8

Congratulations! You are eligible to receive the Avid Xpress Pro 5.8 software, which includes product enhancements, issue resolutions, and quality improvements. A complete set of installation instructions along with a detailed list of these fixes and enhancements is included with the download.

Important Note for Macintosh users:  Avid has reposted the Macintosh version of the Avid Xpress Pro v5.8 editing application to fix an issue that occurred when unarchiving the folder zip file. Avid is now supplying a .dmg file (a mountable disk image file) for the editor.

  1. Download the AvidXpressPro_5.8.mac.dmg file.
  2. Double-click the 5.8mac.dmg file that you downloaded.
  3. Double-click the .mpkg file to run the installer.

Important Note for Macintosh users:  There is a known issue when upgrading to the Macintosh version of Avid Xpress Pro v5.7.5.  Please read the following document for more information.
