Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 (PC)
All registered users of Avid Xpress Pro version 4.x qualify for either the version 4.6 software update (PC) or version 4.8.4 software for Mac OS X 10.4.3 (Tiger) update. These updates, available via download, include either the v4.6 application for Windows XP or the v4.8.4 application for Mac OS X, README files, and special installation instructions. Please complete the following fields to verify that you are a registered Avid Xpress Pro v4.x customer.

Important Notes for Avid Xpress Pro 4.8 (Macintosh) Customers
- Avid Xpress Pro 4.8.4 requires Mac OS X 10.4.3.
- Avid Xpress Pro v4.8.4 requires QuickTime 7.0.1 or 7.0.3. QuickTime 6.x is not supported with Tiger.
- When exporting QuickTime movies from the editor with the "Same as Source" option selected, customers will experience longer export times with QuickTime 7.0.1 or 7.0.3 compared to previous versions. This is due to changes within Apple's QuickTime 7.0.1 or 7.0.3 causing the media to go through an extra recompress stage. This issue is expected to be fixed in the future. In the meantime, Avid recommends the following workaround: Export as QuickTime Reference, then open the movie in QuickTime Player Pro (purchased separately) and save it as a 'self-contained' movie.
