Avid Advanced Response is our next-generation technical support available today. Intended as a diagnostic and installation assistance tool, Avid installs a designated server at your site. Then, through customer-controlled Internet access, an Avid Support Representative can view log files and consoles, analyze bins and sequences, and see errors just as if they were working side-by-side with you on site.

Remote troubleshooting and faster problem resolution
With Avid Advanced Response, you allow Avid Support Representatives, working from a remote location or at your facility to:
- Access one or all of your systems
- View consoles and error messages
- Analyze application data
- Run scripts
- Modify configuration settings
- Check logs
- Create system images
- Complete nearly any other task that can be done at an on-site desktop
By eliminating the time-consuming task of gathering information and relaying it piecemeal over the phone, you wind up with faster problem resolution.
Consistent upgrades
Avid Advanced Response also guarantees faster, more cost-efficient, and uniformly delivered system-wide software upgrades and installs, across hundreds of systems simultaneously, each configured identically. That kind of consistency means fewer errors and less down time.
Imaging and restoration
Avid Advanced Response can speed the process of system imaging and restoration. If requested, an Avid Rep will create base images for customer systems and store them on the Avid Advanced Response server. In the event of a failed or corrupt drive or system, virus, or bad setting, Avid can restore the system back to its initial state and safely re-install Avid software in a fraction of the time it takes for manual restoration.
Preventive maintenance
Through Avid Advanced Response, you also have the option to let Avid help you with preventive maintenance by enabling Support Representatives to proactively identify issues before they become problems.
