Video Partnership Requirements

Avid’s official certified courseware is the core of all partner training offerings, and the Professional and Academic partners are typically identified by the following attributes:

Training Facility

  • At least one professional room dedicated to the purpose of training.
  • A training room equipped with at least 3 to 5 systems (Avid qualified Macs or PCs with a qualified media storage system) per classroom with two students per system. Depending upon the type of training offered, this number may be much larger, and incorporate a one-student-per-system model.
  • Implementation of the most updated version of Avid software running on the most up-to-date Avid-dedicated hardware.
  • A room equipped with all peripheral equipment related to specific courses.

Avid Marketing Plan

  • The partner must be able to describe how the proposed program will be managed and staffed, and provide details on how Avid products and curriculum will generate interest in video and film editing and how that knowledge will be transferred.
  • Key personnel must be associated with the program to achieve proper planning and marketing (as mentioned above).

Instructors

  • Use of only Avid Certified Instructors (ACIs) to teach all Avid courses.

Courseware

  • Use of Avid official courseware for all Avid courses.

Reporting

  • Quarterly reports summarizing training activities and participation metrics.
  • Use of Avid’s authorized on-line course evaluations.
