SN 324 Finishing on Avid Symphony

Overview:

This course teaches project organization strategies and procedures for moving a project from the Avid offline to the Avid online finish with Avid Symphony. The editor will learn the ins and outs working with hardware scopes, efficient processes and workflows for conforming a project, and how to use the advanced finishing tools available in Avid Symphony, including tracking and color correction.

Online editors, freelance editors, staff editors, or online effect designers

Outline:

  • Efficiently conforming a finished sequence, including graphics title and effects, on Avid Symphony
  • Performing motion tracking and stabilization
  • Working with hardware scopes
  • Operating the primary and secondary color correction tools within the system to improve the look of an online finish
  • Delivering the final output master

Prerequisites:
This course assumes that you have an advanced understanding of Avid Media Composer editing, effects, and color correction. Completion of the MC 239 Basic Color Correction on Media Composer and MC 205 Effects Tools and Techniques is strongly recommended. In addition the 220 Conforming on Media Composer and Symphony is also recommended.
