EM101EL MediaCentral | Editorial Management User Basics (eLearning)

Approx. One Hour*

Avid MediaCentral | Editorial Management is a platform which allows you to see the media you have on your shared storage system, and organize it into projects, bins and folders. You can also create simple sequences and subclips to speed up the editing process—all from your browser.

This eLearning course is an introduction to the platform and is divided into a collection of short lessons that will guide you, step-by-step, through the different situations you are likely to encounter on a daily basis.

If you have access to a "live" system you're encouraged to follow along on your system, and pause as needed to practice what you've learned.

This course is designed for users in a post-production environment who use NEXIS shared storage in a collaborative workflow.

There are no prerequisites to this course.

In this course you will learn about:

  • Logging On
  • Browsing Shared Storage
  • Docking the Browse and Search App
  • Using the Media Viewer
  • Organizing Material for Editing
  • Logging and Using Markers
  • Adding Metadata
  • Using Editorial Management with Media Composer

* Online content is available for 90 days from the date access is granted.
