LENGTH
IN300VC iNEWS System Administration (Virtual Classroom and Live Student Labs) is offered over 5 days, with 4 hours of formal instruction each day and daily practical exercises provided for attendees to complete before the next live session. Two hours of self-paced eLearning (IN100EL) is included as a prerequisite as well.
OVERVIEW
Using live cloud-based student labs, each attendee will have access to their own iNEWS training system, allowing interactive and hands on sessions to learn and practice start-up/shutdown procedures, database configuration, user and database management, database backups, maintenance and troubleshooting.
The course prepares candidates for the Avid Certified System Administrator: iNEWS certification exam.
AUDIENCE
This course is designed for anyone that is responsible for managing, administrating and providing first line support for the iNEWS system.
PREREQUISITES
- An understanding of newsroom operations and requirements
- PC/IT skills consistent with a system support role
- Experience operating the iNEWS client is preferred
- Experience and understanding Linux OS preferred
