Alexander Rubinow, ACE is an Emmy-winning and ACE Eddie-nominated editor. He has been nominated for five Emmy Awards (2015, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), and won once in 2015. He is a member of American Cinema Editors (ACE) and was nominated three times for the ACE Eddie Award (2017, 2023, and 2024). All Emmy and Eddie nominations are for his work on the hit Discovery Channel series Deadliest Catch (currently in its 20th season). 

Rubinow has amassed hundreds of credits over his 20+ year career in positions ranging from production intern to editor. The majority of his credits are for his work on the History Channel series Modern Marvels, which he was on from 2003-2009, and for his work on Deadliest Catch, which he has been on for the past 15 seasons (2010-2024). Other notable series Rubinow has worked on throughout the years include Bering Sea Gold (Discovery), The Curse of Oak Island (History), Unlocked: A Jail Experiment (Netflix), The Real World (MTV), and Project Greenlight (HBO).

In addition to his many television credits, Rubinow has also worked on two feature films: The Sundance award-winning feature documentary Waiting for Superman (2010), and the dramatic feature Uncle Nino (2003). Rubinow grew up in Northbrook, IL, and first learned TV production and editing at Northbrook Junior High School and later at Glenbrook North High School. He is a graduate of The University of Iowa, where he received a B.A. in 2001 in computer science & communication studies: film/video production and studies.
