John M. Larson, ACE began his editing career at the University of Arizona, receiving a BFA in media arts. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles to attend the American Film Institute where he received his MFA in editing in 2001. Since then, John has gone on to work on a wide range of unscripted and docu-style programs for NBC, CBS, ABC, MAX, and several cable stations. 

John has worked on The Voice since its premiere season in 2011 and has been a supervising editor since 2013. With an average of 22 episodes per season and two seasons per year, the challenge he has found telling so many unique stories and following the journeys of these aspiring singers keeps him creatively energized. John is immensely proud to receive another Emmy nomination in the show’s 25th season and credits the editorial team’s skill, talent, and ability to consistently create at a high level.
