Omega Hsu, ACE graduated from UCLA School of Film and Television with both a BA and an MFA degree. She has since amassed over 30 years of experience in broadcast television, specializing in news, documentaries, unscripted reality, and big-budget competition shows. Omega began her editing career with the groundbreaking CBS television show Rescue 911, where she worked for the entirety of its 7-year run. The show is widely recognized as a pioneer in unscripted television.
Throughout her career, Omega has received numerous prestigious awards. For the past 23 seasons, she has worked on the multi-Emmy-winning NBC primetime show The Voice, earning four Primetime Creative Arts Emmy nominations for Editing in 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2024. Additionally, she has been honored with a Gracie Award from American Women in Radio and Television and a Golden Mike Award from the Southern California Radio and TV News Association. Omega also earned LA-area Emmy nominations for her work on the PBS series California Connected in 2003 and 2004.
In 2018, Omega was inducted into the American Cinema Editors, and in 2019, Emmy Magazine profiled her.
