Shelly’s work in films includes award-winning and critically-acclaimed features like Nora Ephron’s You’ve Got Mail (Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks), Julie & Julia (Meryl Streep, Amy Adams), James L. Brooks’ How Do You Know (Jack Nicholson, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon), as well as independent favorites Velvet Goldmine and Jesus’ Son. She ventured into television with HBO’s acclaimed series The Wire and won her first Emmy nomination for her work on Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

Other Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated Murphy projects include Feud, American Horror Story, Pose, The Politician, and Ratched. She worked as editor and producer on Emmy-winner Halston (Ewan McGregor). For her editing on Only Murders in the Building, (Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez), she has received a BFE nomination (Season 2), multiple ACE nominations (Seasons 2 & 3) and a Season 3 Emmy nomination. As editor and co-producer, she recently completed Season 4.
