Overview
The iNEWS Superuser Database Design (IN200) course covers the iNEWS client in detail, with emphasis on establishing the appropriate workflow for your Avid Newsroom solution.
Audience
This course is designed for:
- Key newsroom and control room staff who will lead other staff in adapting to the new environment
- Representatives from the IT department, who will assist in the implementation of the more technical aspects of the database design process
Prerequisites
- Experience operating the iNEWS client is useful, but not required
- A full understanding of newsroom and any other production processes, including the control room during on-air transmission
- The authority and ability to make decisions and set new newsroom practices—including story development, rundown management, script formats, control room practices, script archiving, etc
- Experience as a user of the Windows operating system
