Avid's Response to Log4j

There is a serious global IT security threat due to vulnerabilities recently uncovered in the popular Apache Log4j Java-based logging code. The Log4j code is used in millions of software products, including several of Avid’s.

Dmitriy Sokolovskiy, Avid’s Chief Information Security Officer, said Avid has been taking extensive proactive steps, including patches, to ensure Avid’s products and workflows remain safe from potential harm.

Security Assessment

Avid’s internal assessment of the potential vulnerabilities in its products can be found in Avid’s Log4j Knowledge Base article and security assessment.

We encourage our customers to also:

  • Subscribe to the Knowledge Base (select “Subscribe” in the page’s right-side menu) to automatically receive updates, including information about patches for potentially affected products
  • Check your MyAvid account for updates
  • Visit our Community Forums and social media channels for updates
