Accelerate media replication

When you need multi-file transfer capabilities, but not the added file-flattening processing or resolution transcoding, MediaCentral | Copy gets the job done fast. This MediaCentral service enables you to duplicate assets and media of any file type, including entire folder structures, to a separate workgroup. It’s simply the fastest way to replicate shared assets from one MediaCentral system to another.

  • Share files with speed and ease

MediaCentral | Copy enables facilities to share assets between workgroups—even if each group maintains its own workflow—using a LAN-based file transfer to move media, files, and metadata without confusion. Multiple groups can maintain their own processes for permissions, handoffs, and projects, while only needing to acquire the media once.

  • Gain high-performance transfer

With transfer speeds of up to 325 MB/s for simple sequences in optimal network conditions, teams can get a jumpstart on projects faster.

  • Get persistent metadata

Production assets can be replicated from one workgroup to an alternate MediaCentral workgroup, and its folder structure will remain intact at the destination workgroup. In addition, all metadata that was tracked on each file in the original workgroup will also be transferred and continue to be tracked by the destination workgroup, whether working with Avid or non-Avid assets, media, or files.

  • Copy media right from your desktop

With direct Media Composer | Ultimate, Media Composer | NewsCutter Option, and MediaCentral | Cloud UX integration, you can access MediaCentral | Copy right from your workstation to quickly replicate media for other workgroups. It’s a simple way for editors, managers, producers, assistants, and asset librarians to share media as needed.
