Description
One hour of clerical work per session, gone
Every mix starts the same way: a folder of stems arrives and every single file has to be identified, renamed, coloured, routed to the right bus and grouped before any creative decision can be made. fMusic does all of it automatically. Point it at a folder and it returns a fully organised session, with every track classified, named to your convention, coloured by instrument class and routed to its bus. What used to take an hour of clerical work per project takes seconds, and it comes out identical every time.Instrument recognition that adapts to your taxonomy
fMusic identifies each file using a local machine-learning model combined with a name-recognition engine, and the result drives naming, colour and grouping. Because every studio has its own conventions, you can define custom instrument types that map onto the model output: if your 808s are not "bass" but "808", the tool follows your system instead of imposing one. Renaming styles, colour rules and track heights are all configurable, so every session in your studio looks the same and anyone can open anyone else's project and navigate it at a glance.Clean-up that would take an afternoon by ear
Delivered stems are rarely ready to work with. Many are fake stereo, where left and right are identical, or hard-panned, where all the content sits on one side. Both silently double your track count and DAW load, and finding them means auditioning every file. fMusic detects the actual channel content and folds files to mono according to your rules, all files, fake stereo only, or hard-panned only, with mono or interleaved output. Strip silence removes the dead stretches from long delivery files, with full control over threshold, minimum duration and the padding kept before and after each sound so transients and reverb tails are never clipped.Stem export driven by routing, not by track lists
On the way out, fMusic automates the bounce. Export categories are bound to routing sources in the session rather than to named tracks, which is what makes them portable: one song has twenty drum tracks and the next has thirteen, and the same Drums category finds them both. Each deliverable can be rendered grouped as one combined stem or individually per track, in solo mode to print only its content or in mute mode to silence it and print everything else, which is how you get an instrumental in one pass. Save your recurring delivery specs as favourites and reuse them on every project.Batch queue and multi-format delivery
Jobs accumulate in a queue and run as a batch, so you can line up the exports for several sessions and let them print unattended overnight. Any queued session can be expanded to inspect it or recalled to work on it again. A single print can output WAV, AIFF and MP3 in one go, with format suffixes appended automatically. Offline, online and auto render methods are supported: auto reads the session I/O and decides for you, falling back to real-time rendering when something in the signal path requires it. Finished files can be pushed straight to Samply for client review without leaving the workflow.Fully on-device, no cloud
Everything runs locally on the user's Mac. No uploads, no cloud processing, no account syncing required to work. fMusic supports both Avid Pro Tools and Apple Logic Pro, driving each through its own dedicated integration, including full bounce automation in Logic, which has no scripting API of its own.Features
