Avid as Processor. When Avid acts as a processor, we process personal information only in accordance with the instructions of the customer and applicable contractual and legal requirements.

We will not require you to take more steps to opt out than to opt in, and we will not use pre-checked boxes or other “dark patterns.”

Even if you decline to receive information or cancel your account, Avid reserves the right to use the information you previously provided to provide you with the Avid products and services you are eligible to receive and to contact you about administrative matters relating to your use of any portion of the site, your account, or about any issues relating to the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy Statement, or any other policy then in-effect (for example, the Copyright Complaint Policy).

Enable authorized human review

We do not use these tools to make autonomous decisions with legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement, and we do not sell or share AI interaction data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use chat inputs to train third-party models without your explicit consent.

We do not engage in profiling or automated processing of personal information, including automated decision-making, that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on individuals within the meaning of applicable data protection laws (including Article 22 of the GDPR).

Where we carry out limited profiling or automated processing for purposes such as fraud prevention, security, service improvement, personalization, or analytics, such processing:

does not produce legal or similarly significant effects;
is based on legitimate interests or consent, as required by law;
is subject to appropriate safeguards; and
includes meaningful human oversight where required.

Where applicable law provides a right to object to profiling or automated processing, you may exercise that right as described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section of this Policy.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through these tools unless explicitly requested by a human agent as part of a verified support process.

15. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required for consent in their jurisdiction. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
