The next generation of Maestro real-time graphics
Maestro has been a very popular real-time graphics solution used by broadcasters and content producers worldwide for many years, and the new generation of Maestro graphics brings the most transformational change in all its history. For the first time, you will be able to run all the Maestro components on commercial off-the-shelf servers with Windows OS, making it easier for users to source their own hardware platforms, take control of their hardware upgrade cycles, and better integrate into their IT security policies.
For those who have been creating content with Maestro for a long time, there is no need to worry. The templates and other graphic material created with previous versions of Maestro tools are fully compatible with this new generation. Plus, it is possible to combine Maestro | Engine hardware with engines running in off-the-shelf hardware in a single environment, making the transition for existing users very smooth.
The next generation of Maestro also introduces subscription licensing as an alternative to traditional perpetual licenses, which enables more flexibility to adapt to evolving production needs and ensures that security patches and new functionalities are easily accessible without additional cost.
And what about the cloud? The new generation of Maestro is “cloud friendly” in many ways, starting with the ability to move Maestro subscriptions from on-prem to the cloud (or vice versa) without any additional licensing cost from Avid. Cloud deployments bring many benefits, but we understand that not everyone is ready to make this move. We are ready when you are.
The new generation of Maestro enables all Avid graphics users to move into the future with the confidence that whatever your graphics needs are, we’ve got you covered.
