What’s New in EUCON
With the EUCON 2025.6 release, we’ve focused on refining the tools you use every day—whether you're mixing on an S4 or S6, or working with EuControl on the S1, S3, or Dock.
This update builds on the foundation we laid in 2025.3, expanding session data management, enhancing MIDI capabilities, and giving you more control over your environment. From smarter session loading dialogs and custom knob map handling to powerful new MIDI softkey options and improved metering for post workflows, these updates are designed to keep you working fast and fluidly.
We’re especially excited about the new copy/paste functionality in the soft key editors and the ability to assign MIDI CCs to faders and knobs and softkeys to footswitches—small changes that make a big difference in day-to-day use.
Thanks for being part of the EUCON community. We can’t wait to see what you create with these new tools.
Here’s what’s in the latest update.
S4/S6 Enhancements
Smarter Session Data Loading
Building on the session data loading options introduced in EUCON 2025.3, the 2025.6 update adds new visual cues and controls:
- Greyed-Out Options: Now, if a session or title lacks data for a specific type, that option will appear greyed out—giving users a clear view of what’s available.
- Custom Knob Map Selection: Users can now selectively import or overwrite custom knob maps. If a map already exists for a plugin, it appears in bold italic, indicating it will be overwritten if selected.
Clear Data Dialog
A new Clear Data dialog has been added to the Master Module system settings page. Located in the bottom menu keys, this tool allows users to wipe session data from the S6—use with caution.
Copy-Paste for Soft Key Editors
Users can now copy and paste macros or buttons within the soft key editor. This applies to Softkeys, Pages and Channel Strip keys (independently). Note: GPIO commands are not supported.
Dual PEC and DIR Metering
- Pro Tools 2025.6 improves the PECDIR meter preference. When enabled:
- Pro Tools sends both standard and fixed input/off-disk meters for an audio track at the same time
- Pro Tools Mix and Edit Window meters remain standard
- No need for Aux track meters anymore.
- On the S6, adding tracks to Post Module layouts now auto-populates these new meters.
EuControl (Artist Series, Avid Control, S1, S3)
Copy-Paste for Soft Key Editor
EuControl now supports copy/paste for single macros between buttons and locations.
MIDI CC Control
Users can now assign MIDI Continuous Controllers to layouts and control them via faders and knobs on Dock, S1, and S3. Avid’s implementation allows for writing into a MIDI track in Pro Tools and playing it back.
MIDI Softkeys
Softkeys can now include MIDI commands/notes and be used in macros—opening up new creative and control possibilities.
Footswitch Integration
The footswitch can now be assigned to control any softkey or macro, adding hands-free flexibility to your workflow.
Improved Mackie Control PT1
Significant improvements have been made to physical surface integration, especially for Ableton Live. However, enhancements for Avid Control and other DAW’s are still in progress and are expected in Release 3 (R3).
Final Thoughts
This release continues Avid’s commitment to refining the EUCON ecosystem with smarter tools, deeper MIDI integration, and more intuitive workflows. Whether you're mixing post or music, these updates are designed to keep you in the creative zone.
