Edit Transcription Text—Faster, More Accurate Transcripts
The Transcript Tool gains the ability to edit transcription text directly, letting you make corrections right inside the transcript while preserving precise timing and sync with your media. This means cleaner transcripts, fewer hand-offs to external tools, and more accurate ScriptSync, PhraseFind, and caption workflows—all without losing the word level timing you rely on.
Peer-to-Peer Transcript Sharing—Better Collaboration on Transcripts
Team workflows just got smoother. With Peer-to-Peer Transcript Sharing, editors and assistants working on shared projects can now share a common transcript database across a network*. This reduces duplicated work, keeps everyone looking at the same text, and helps teams stay in sync when multiple people are working on the same material.

Waveform Map in Source Monitor, Audio and Video Together
Editing with sound is easier than ever. The Waveform Map in the Source Monitor lets you view and scrub audio waveforms alongside video playback, giving you a clear visual cue of where dialogue, sound effects, and pauses occur without switching context. This speeds up edits and makes audio-driven decisions more intuitive.
Full Resolution Multicam Output, Higher-Quality Monitoring
Multicam workflows get a quality boost. Media Composer now supports full resolution multicam playback and output, which means you can deliver clearer, high-fidelity video to monitoring paths such as NDI and SRT. Whether you’re doing complex multicam edits or feeding remote review systems, you’ll notice sharper output and more confidence in what you see.
Avid Titler+ Template Workflow, Easier Title Creation and Sharing
Titler+ becomes more flexible and team-friendly. The Titler+ template workflow improvements let you create, edit, and share title templates more easily across projects and with other editors. This streamlined process helps keep graphics consistent and saves time on repeated title design work.
Enhanced Marker Support, Bring Markers Into Source Clips
Markers are essential for notes, timing cues, and editorial references. In this release, you can import markers directly to source clips, making it easier to preserve editorial context and annotations from other tools and workflows. This enhancement helps ensure that valuable notes stay with the media wherever it goes.

Introducing the Media Composer Extensions Dropdown
Third-party Media Composer Panels are now called Media Composer Extensions. When an Extension is installed, an all-new Extensions Dropdown menu will appear, providing a clearer, more flexible way to manage and access integrated tools within the application. This is the next step in the evolution of a broader extensibility framework that will grow throughout the year.
Simplified DNx Codec Selection
DNxHD and DNxHR codecs are now grouped under a simplified, unified naming system to make it easier to choose the right DNx option for your project. This change reduces complexity in everyday workflows while maintaining full compatibility with existing DNx media.
This update also represents the first milestone in the support of the all-new DNx 4.0 standard, laying the foundation for a new generation of DNx capabilities. DNx 4.0 is designed to deliver higher visual quality without increasing bitrates, along with bit-depth independence that enables more expansive HDR mezzanine and proxy workflows. These advancements help preserve image fidelity, reduce visible artifacts, and provide greater flexibility across modern editorial, finishing, and delivery pipelines.
