Download and installation

Your have three ways to download your products: use Avid Link, go to my.avid.com/products, or to find older versions visit my.avid.com/esd.

Install with Avid Link

1. Get Avid Link

Avid Link is our application manager. From it you can download, install, and update products, as well as move licenses between machines and many other things.

Avid Link can automatically install all plugins and content you receive with your Avid product. Without Link you will need to download and manually install every plugin.

2. Enable express installation

Avid Link will ask you to enter your computer’s credentials the first time you open Link. We strongly encourage this to avoid a very cumbersome installation process.

3. Log In to Link

If you aren’t already logged in, you may be prompted to do so. If not, go ahead and click on the three dots below Profile in the left navigation bar, then in the resulting drop menu click on the last item, “Sign In.” Enter your Avid credentials and Sign In. You will automatically be taken to the Products tab.

If you don’t see your product right away, check the status icon in the lower left of the Link window. Link has to find all your licenses and populate the Product page, so the first time you log in it may take a couple of minutes.

4. Install Products and Content

Your new product should automatically start downloading. To check the status of any product, go to the Products tab in Avid Link. To the right of each product row you will be able to install, update, or open your product, and see additional plugins or assets.

Install Manually

Download your product

Supported older versions of our products are available to download from My Products or the Avid Download Center. Note that this will not always avoid the installation of Avid Link, which is included in the installation files if needed by that application.
