The Avid Certified Support Representative: Broadcast Graphics certification is designed for individuals deploying or working in an environment running Avid broadcast graphics products and solutions. ACSR’s are the front line of defense in ensuring deployed Avid solutions run smoothly. Therefore it is essential to have the skills and competencies to be able to correctly install and configure the Avid broadcast graphics products as well as be prepared to operationally support the environment. The ACSR: Broadcast Graphics certification is designed to test and validate those skills.

What are the prerequisites?

The ACSR: Broadcast Graphics certification exam is an integral part of the ACSR: Broadcast Graphics (BG400) course. To be able to sit the certification you must attend this course. Prior to attending this course candidates should have the following skills:

  • A good understanding of both Windows and Linux based Operating Systems
  • A good understanding of PC graphics hardware and its configuration
  • A basic understanding of DB (MS SQL) and networking (IP configuration)
  • A basic understanding of broadcast workflow

How does the course and exam fit together?

The ACSR: Broadcast Graphics (BG400) course is a blended learning course, created with two distinct sections to maximize the learning process, while minimizing the time ‘in-class’.

The first section is series of 15 hours of recorded webinars. These provide information and theoretical issues on the Avid broadcast graphics suite, the components that comprise it and the typical workflow of such systems. This is complemented with the use of demonstrations and videos, as well as assignments to consolidate the learning process

The second section of the course is hands-on ‘in-class’, building on the topics covered in the webinar and preparing attendees for the practical certification exam on the final day of the course. This will require candidates to demonstrate their capability to install and configure a broadcast graphics implementation.

Recertification does not mandate training attendance, but Avid’s blend of classroom and online recertification training make it easier and faster to maintain your ACSR status.
