Individuals tasked with installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining a platform this advanced require equally advanced skills and competencies, and only the Avid Certified Support Representative: MediaCentral Platform certification is designed to test and validate those skills. Should you need backup support, ACSR status gains access to Avid's senior support team, as well as to the worldwide community of Avid Certified Support Representatives.

To be able to sit the ACSR: MediaCentral Platform certification exam candidates must first of all hold the certification status of ACSR: Interplay | Production.

What do I have to do to be certified?

Certification is granted solely based on passing the ACSR: MediaCentral Platform certification exam. Course attendance is optional, though highly recommended.

What are the prerequisites?

The Avid Certified Support Representative: Interplay | Production certification is required prior to application to sit the ACSR: MediaCentral Platform.

Successful candidates will also have extensive experience on the Avid MediaCentral Platform. Although course attendance is not required to take the certification exam, Avid strongly recommends candidates attend the Avid MediaCentral Platform (WG453) course. The course, with its extensive hands-on training, will help build the knowledge and skills needed to pass the certification exam.

In addition, candidates should understand the terminology, methods and processes used for Avid products, as well as have a thorough understanding of the system’s architecture and how the required hardware components and software configurations are integrated. This includes:

What do I have to do to maintain certification?

Once you have made the investment to become an ACSR, maintaining your Avid Certification enables you to show your skills and capabilities are current, and provides you with access to the wealth of premium level technical content made available to ACSR’s. You’ll also be able to participate and benefit from interaction with peers within the global ACSR community. Recertification does not mandate training attendance, but Avid’s blend of classroom and online recertification training make it easier and faster to maintain your ACSR status.
