Creating and managing markers
Markers let you label important points in your Pro Tools timeline. They’re useful for keeping track of song sections, spotting sync points in post-production, or simply marking spots you want to revisit later. Each marker is stored in the Markers ruler and can be named, numbered, and recalled at any time.

Tips for Using Markers
- Song structure: Use markers to label sections like intro, verse, chorus, and bridge.
- Post-production: Spot cues, dialogue points, or sync moments for sound-to-picture work.
- Fast navigation: Jump between markers during editing or playback to save time.
- Unlimited markers: Add as many markers as needed; they’re automatically numbered in sequence.
