Tips for Using Reversed Audio in Pro Tools

  • Experiment with reversed effects: Try reversing individual clips like vocals, drums, or sound effects to create unique transitions, builds, or sound design elements.
  • Pair with reverb or delay: Adding effects like reverb or delay to reversed clips can create atmospheric or otherworldly effects, enhancing your production’s mood or intensity.
  • Use clip duplication: For even more creative flexibility, duplicate a clip before reversing it, so you can toggle between the forward and reversed versions within your session.
